How are you enjoying the Interview Series?

Let me tell you a little background info about it.

In October 2022, with an amazing amount of help from our daughter Liliana, I did a huge overhaul of this website. Standing back and looking at it all after everything was finished, there was a question I kept returning to – How can I share this space with other women and at the same time add value for you, the reader. Something positive, uplifting and then the idea came.

I made this series to highlight women who are starting out. They have created something out of nothing, following those whispers and are moving forward with bringing their dreams to life.

I believe in the power of sharing our stories, supporting and lifting each other up.

There is enough for everyone to be successful, in what ever way feels right for them.

It is humbling that women trust me to tell their stories in this series and and I’m grateful to be able to work alongside them to do so.

The cover photo to promote the interview series:

The photo is of Geeveston Fanny apple blossom. In the early stages of blooming and because of the heritage apple’s individual characteristics, not only is it beautiful, it is strong, and resilient (see the metaphor?!)

I took the photo one frosty Spring morning, catching the first rays of sunlight, it really was a blink and the moment is lost kind of moment. Without trying to sound cheesy but probably will, using the hashtag #momentslikethese really sums it up.

About each Interview:

From start to finish each interview takes me between ten to fifteen hours. Lots of background info, writing the introduction, sending out the questions with a cover letter, deciding on photos, messaging each other. A big thing for me is appreciating that everyone in the series could be spending their time differently and they have graciously held space for this interview, it’s all about them being super comfortable with what they share in their interview and 100% happy with how it looks at the end.

I’m always nervous when asking, totally appreciating if the timing isn’t right or the interview isn’t a good fit for them and elated when they says yes to being part of the Interview Series.  With so much positive feedback and interest, my plan is to share one or two interviews a month.

Why the same five questions?

Consistency. Every person’s story is different, the questions are a common thread that weaves between each interview.

An inspiring engaging read that doesn’t take all day to read, ending with some pearls of wisdom.

Where do I find the Interview Series?

The Interview Series lives at the top of the Blog Journal page. Individual interviews are dotted amongst the blog journal posts according to the date they were published.

Click on the tab called Interview Series at the top of the Blog Journal page (this page).

It’s always lovely to get your feedback and encouraging for the women who share their stories. Your support really does count and makes a difference. I hope you get to visit their Instagram pages and websites, leave some ❤️’s and a comment if it is something you feel comfortable doing. Even if it is something simple eg. I liked your Fairy Wren Cottage Interview.

I’m sure it will be appreciated.

Until next time,

Sending Light and Love,
