We are at that stage in our family life where Lil is 17 now and so many of our animals came to live with us when she was only a little girl. Our animals are getting older and we need to consider their changing needs. If these loyal companions give the best of themselves to us everyday, I want to make sure we nurture and cherish them, especially as they grow older.

Spending our days at home with home schooling, so many of our family memories include our animals.

Ebb our Spoodle is 12 1/2 years, some days it is so noticeable how he is ageing.

~ Up grading and adding an extra dog bed ~

If Ebb’s old dog bed was rated practical his new dog bed is rated deluxe luxury, extra padding and the fabric is warmer. We bought two! One bed in the lounge room where he usually sleeps and another bed to shift from room to room where ever we are. It saves him lying on the floor boards and he is very happy with the extra comfort! It has been three weeks since the beds arrived and we can really see the difference, he is more agile and happier.

~ The 1.30am blow wave ~

Yes, you read it right 1.30am and Ebb came in sopping wet after needing to go outside. I could see that he was soaked through, a towel dry wouldn’t be enough and knowing if he went back to his dog bed with wet fur not only would the house and the dog bed smell the bigger picture was he would wake up stiff as a board and be shivering for the rest of the night with trying to get warm. Out came the hair dryer, Ebb jumped up onto the foot stool (where he usually gets his coat blow dried) before I could plug the dryer in. 10 minutes later  his coat was dry, he felt warm to pat and he slept the rest of the night snug and cosy.

It’s the little things that make a big difference.

Sending Light and Love,

That top photo 🥲❤️. I froze when I saw it on Pinterest! I could have sworn it was my blind rescue cockapoo angel! And the cabbage rose background! 😍! I just wanted to say I love your blog, your aesthetics, and everything you are about! Love & Blessings! -ashley

😆 also! It’s been several years since Casey (‘twas her name when I adopted her) has passed over the rainbow bridge. And seeing this cute post reminded me…at-home grooming a cockapoo is SUCH a process! After she passed, she was always around us not only in spirit, but in fur 😆 everywhere ❤️🥲 a breeze would blow by and “oh look! A blonde dust bunny suspended in the air! Hey Casey! 👋”
