Dear Lovely Subscribers,

The Fairy Wren Cottage Postcard for April was sent out to your inbox on Tuesday.

In this latest Postcard I mentioned my wish list for some perennials for our cutting garden, roses and fruit trees.

For our Perennial Cutting Garden:

Stipa Gigantia.

Oakleaf Hydrange ‘Snowflake’.

Anenome. Soft pinks.

Agastache ‘Lemon Fiesta’.

Salvia, a lovely pink variety.

Verbena polaris.

Salvia ‘Rose Wine’.

Rambling Rose ‘Goldfinch’.

Cephalaria gigantea. Also known as Giant Pincushion or Giant Scabiosa (isn’t Scabiosa such a horrible name for such a beautiful flower!)

Fruit Trees:

I’m looking for some very early and some very late harvesting varieties to add to our collection.

From Knights Roses we have ordered:

Moonbeam rose. (Picture above take in our garden 31 January 2018).

Bonica rose.

From Veggie Flower and Garden seeds we have ordered.

Carnation Chabaud La France Dianthus Flower | X 50 Seeds

Scabiosa Summer Fruits Mix Pincushion Flower | X 40 Seeds

Viola Nature Antique Shades Flower | X 20 Seeds

Sweet Pea Almost Black Flower | X 10 Seeds

*I’ve had great customer service from both small businesses.

I love supporting small businesses who go the extra mile, which is why I’ve listed them. (Not an ad).

What plans are you making for your garden. It’s such a great time to get a wish list together with bare rooted fruit trees and roses in the garden nurseries soon.

Until next time, much love, Jude x
