It feels like we have had the wind knocked out of our sails. Not testing positive for anything, and grateful, that what we have had has been just that and nothing more. My heart, as always, goes out to everyone who has been effected far worse. The cottage is cosy, we have healthy food to eat, clean water, plenty to read and watch, clean enough windows to look out of and watch the birds to and fro. The Winter sun, the loveliest light. I have nothing to complain about.
Our bodies do really have a way of telling us that enough is enough and it is time to rest. I’ve been trying to listen well to this, something that isn’t always a strength of mine! With that said each day I have given myself a little goal that feels doable, even if it was to shower, get dressed into something nice and plait my hair. On one particular day it was to go in to the garden and pick some rose petals (don’t you just love the determination of a rose flowering in winter). Carrying my wicker basket over my arm, up the daisy lined steps, passed the birdbath, Bluebell the Spoodle following me diligently. Some lemon thyme was also added to the basket and some violets.
Roses, lemon thyme, violets, let’s see if I actually go through with adding the violets to a herbal tea blend. It’s taken me awhile to get used to putting the roses in herbal tea blends. Violets seem a step to far.
I’ll wish you a peaceful day and send love.
Until next time,
