Over the last 2 yrs it's been a privilege to be included in the pages of Grass Roots Magazine, a bi monthly sustainability magazine distributed in Australia & New Zealand. How we planted our small Quince Orchard. Renovating our hand made home. Making cotton dishcloths using the pattern I created. Ladybug Cubby made from recycled building materials. My pattern for crochet or knitted hand warmers. Planting a kitchen garden, food hedges, wildlife areas & perennial beds. Building Hen & Duck House's from recycled materials. Our big Hen House designed to include hay storage. Sharing whole food recipes I have developed: Fruit Crumbles, Buddha Bowls, Flat breads, Pizza bases, Dips, Biscuits, Focaccia breads, making our own take away! Craft projects making use of felt, embroidered linen & fabric offcuts to create pincushions, felt pouches, & handy bags to use instead of wrapping paper or for book, craft & bread bags.
I love being a regular contributor to this magazine.
Our Back Orchard Hen House made by Michael & Lil for my birthday (and designed by us 3) is my first article in Australasian Poultry Mag plus some of my Dutch Bantam photo's accompanied a well know Poultry Breeder's Article. in 2018.
All photos are taken by me, here at Fairy Wren Cottage and are included with the articles I have written for Grass Roots Magazine & Australasian Poultry Magazine.
