I specialise in making a range of timber benchtops eg. Tasmanian Oak, Celerytop, Wattle,  Myrtle, Red Ironbark, Huon Pine.

But I am happy to only make the cabinetry if you would prefer a benchtop that is not timber.

My timber benchtops can be made with minimum delays and are cost effective.

If you are thinking of a benchtop that isn’t timber please consider the following:

The cost of the benchtops compared to timber benchtops I make.

There maybe project delays due to your benchtops being ordered in Tasmania but sourced and delivered from the mainland that may include freight costs. How long can you go without a kitchen because you have to wait for the benchtops on order?

There maybe install delays due to companies scheduling your benchtop install into their schedule, they usually have a small team who install or they employ a third party sub contractor to install your benchtops.

When I make and install a timber benchtop there aren’t these delays, I work on your project until it is finished.

It is important to note that there are new laws regarding Engineered Stone benchtops and the health risks  suffered by tradies who installed them, I’ve linked an article that explains more at the end of this post.

There is a reason why timber benchtops have been used for centuries, they last, are timeless and are a natural product.

I love my work and an important part of it is building trusting, respectful relationships with clients, a strong foundation for working together.

My work ranges from the smallest carpentry projects right through to full home renovations.

I am really happy to work with client designs together with my 30+ years of carpentry knowledge and experience.

Until next time,

Michael
